Action Mesothelioma Day is all about raising awareness, supporting and remembering those who have been diagnosed or affected by mesothelioma.

The Berkshire Asbestos Support Group's Action Mesothelioma Day was held on Friday 5 July 2013 in the gardens of Abbots House, Abbey Street, Reading. The Berkshire Asbestos Support Group is dedicated to providing support and advice for local sufferers of asbestos related illnesses and their families. The day is co-ordinated by the British Lung Foundation.

At this year's event the Berkshire Asbestos Support Group held afternoon tea on the lawn and a dove release in memory of those affected by mesothelioma. As well as members of the support group and their families, also in attendance was Charly Wells , a registered nurse and Sean Callaghan who is the Asbestos Coordinator, Health and Safety Services at Reading University.
